Three farmers under Christmas stress: a Christmas tree grower, a goose farmer and a farmer with a Christmas farm. Advent is the most profitable time for some farmers, Christmas is their business, and being stressed is part of it. The quiet time only returns on Christmas Eve. For Christmas tree producer Michael Spennesberger, his livelihood depends on business in the run-up to Christmas. He is dependent on selling all of his Nordmann firs by Christmas Eve, for which he has worked all year growing Christmas trees. Will he get rid of all of his Christmas trees? Goose farmer Michaela Höfel has been feeding her geese and ducks for months. December is the month with the most sales. Every Christmas goose is slaughtered on the farm. The Christmas roast is expensive, around 150 euros per goose. Will there be buyers for all of the animals? The Huber family is most stressed before the third weekend of Advent. There is a Christmas market on their farm. The barn has to be cleared out for the Christmas market, because game, red deer sausages, mulled wine, crepes and handicrafts are sold there.
