The Šonky family from Farmy u lesa from Sudoměřice u Bechyně can be proud of a truly long farming tradition. In the second half of the 16th century, the Šonk family was invited by Petr Vok himself from Hungary in order to improve the farming and hunting conditions of the then poor Bechyňsk region. The current owner Jiří Šonek and his family managed to connect the original farmstead, where a nice stylish accommodation was created, with a new part of the farm, on which he runs a really wide range of activities. This includes the fattening of broilers in four modern halls with a total capacity of 100,000 chickens, the breeding of beef cattle of the Aberdeen Angus breed, and the management of hundreds of hectares of permanent grassland in an organic farming regime. A substantial part of the farm's activities is connected with the breeding of horses and the operation of the equestrian area, which are the domain of the owner's wife, Hana. http://www.farmaulesa.cz/cs
