In December 2000, the Saxon IV K 99 584 expired. The locomotive was last seen in special train service on the Zittau narrow-gauge railway in autumn 1997. The Zittau narrow-gauge railway interest group organised farewell trips for this locomotive between Zittau, Oybin and Jonsdorf on December 8, 2000. To date, this locomotive has not returned to operational service!
