The Ariaú Hotel is located in the state of Amazonas, near the Anavilhanas archipelago, 60 km from Manaus. The area is under the jurisdiction of the municipality of Iranduba in the Metropolitan Region of Manaus. The location has been the setting for filming the film Anaconda and the reality show Survivor. The hotel receives tourists from several countries. Technology billionaire Bill Gates and former US President Jimmy Carter are among the celebrities who have stayed at the hotel.
