The Kostroma region is no exception, it was here, not far from the city of Chukhloma, in the once large villages of Astashovo and Pogorelovo, that the rich peasants Martyan Sazonov and Ivan Ivanovich Polyashov built fabulous towers. These buildings can safely be called masterpieces of wooden architecture.
