ASSEN - The funfair has started in Assen. This year, due to the corona, it is an autumn funfair instead of a funfair during the TT in June, which could not take place at the time, as well as many other festivities. It is one of the few funfairs in the Netherlands that are permitted by the municipal authorities. Assen supported the funfair as long as the 1.5 meters are guaranteed. And that can be met, so it is expected. The checks at the entrance and on the site are fair but strict. A maximum of one thousand people may be present on the site. There is a special entrance and children under 18 receive wristbands. They do not have to take into account the 1.5 meter distance. Once a thousand have been counted, visitors will only be allowed back to the funfair when visitors leave. The funfair will be on the cattle market site in Assen until Sunday, September 13.
