Last week, I offered you a unique game by putting you to work on a particularly difficult space optimization challenge! (video link last week) I admit that it was a test for me, an idea that came to me at the last minute, after having the members of the HOMER NINJA program participate (the step after the HOME Workshop, to become a “space optimization ninja” ;-) ). I knew it was a very difficult subject … and I really didn’t expect such a participation rate! Wow! There were more than a hundred of you who took part in the space optimization game! Today I come with 2 pieces of news: one good, and one bad. I’ll start with the bad. NOBODY found the ideal solution. In all the projects, there were either technical errors, or errors in ergonomics or circulation. Ouch, ouch, ouch! It seems that there is a profession behind all this :-D … The good news is that by comparing the proposals of the members of the HOMER NINJA program (in training) and the solutions of the “beginners” … we could still see that there were fewer errors. (phew! :-) ) And the REAL good news is that today I suggest you analyze with me: the proposals of the HOMER NINJAS and the REAL solutions that work and that respect all the instructions! (including a real bedroom with a window ;-) ) The idea is to find the best space optimization solution for a 27m2 T2, in which you will have to include: a bedroom with a 160cm wide bed, an office, a dressing room, a bathroom, a separate toilet, a kitchen of at least 240cm long, a sofa, a table for eating for 4 people, a television and a washing machine!
