Although it is unrelated to the exploration videos of the Miura Peninsula and Kamakura area, I visited several filming locations for the movie "Mura of the Eight Graves" (1977). Several people have posted information about the filming locations on social media, and I have used that information as a reference. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them (^^)/ Some of the filming locations are introduced as appendices to the DVD of this movie, and after actually visiting them, I felt like I wanted to see more of the filming locations. Every time I went to Okayama, I walked around looking for filming locations, and enjoyed taking photos as much as possible from the same camera angle as the filming. However, since nearly 50 years have passed since filming, the trees and vegetation on the ground have grown, so it was not always possible to see the filming locations from the camera's point of view. At some of the filming locations, I happened to be able to talk to people who knew about the time the movie was filmed, which was thrilling. I was able to feel a sense of nostalgia, a sense of relief as if a mystery had been solved, and the excitement of being able to imagine the atmosphere at the time of filming. In the funeral scene, police station scene, and Principal Kudo's school scene, the local people explained various things about the time of filming, and I am very grateful for their time. The cave scene was filmed in Makido, but it is difficult to match the cave scene in the movie with the inside of Makido, so I left it out this time. I will visit again at a later date and compare it carefully. The cave at the end of the video was found to be "Kanekiyoana - Mine City". The scene where Kindaichi solves the mystery was filmed in a small cave in Beppu, Akiyoshi-cho, Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. However, it is far away, so if I have business in the Yamaguchi Prefecture area, I would like to visit it. There is a "Shochiku Otani Library" in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, which collects information on Shochiku films, and I will visit it later to find the "location scouting" of this movie and collect more location information. Additional information will be uploaded as it becomes available. I also visited the scene of the Tsuyama incident, which served as the backdrop for the film's story, several times to film, but I did not include it in this video as I felt it was too graphic and it is not directly related to the film. I have not confirmed the copyright of the original film used to create the video, so I will delete this video if a complaint is made. Corrected typos I also made a Part 2 that continues from Tajimi to Tajimi and Tatsuya to Tatsuya • Exploring the filming locations of the film "The Village of the Eight Graves" (1977) Part 2 #TheVillageoftheEightGraves#1977 #TajimiFamily#FilmingLocation#Okayama#Shochiku#Takahashi
