In this video, we will explain the special exhibition "Monet: The Time of the Water Lilies". This "Monet Exhibition" is a traveling exhibition to be held at the National Museum of Western Art in Tokyo, the Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto, and the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art in Aichi Prefecture from 2024 to 2025. It features landscape paintings that are the subject of the reflection effect on the water surface, which was of interest to the Impressionist painter Monet, and in particular, important works depicting water lilies floating in a pond and waterside plants, which are connected to the "Grand Decorative Paintings" owned by the Musée de l'Orangerie, considered to be Monet's greatest masterpiece from his later years.
