With our expedition vehicle we are on a Polarstern journey through the winter wonderland of Finland - North Karelia, winter adventure in Finnish Lapland, Norway - North Cape (part 2 coming soon, further towards Senja & Lofoten) and are thus fulfilling a long-held dream. Winters in the north are icy, snowy and dark, which is why many people are drawn to the warmer south. The arctic cold in Finnish Lapland, however, feels much more pleasant because of its dryness. Snow is guaranteed. You also have the chance to see a magical, legendary northern lights at least once. The northern lights appear on around 200 nights in Finnish Lapland. Find out how the MAN reacts to icy cold of -31 degrees, how our off-road camper behaves on slippery, snowy roads. Will we have to put snow chains on the 4x4 off-road truck?
