I decided to team up with the guys from the VKJ-Expedition channel and we founded a joint expedition. The beginning of February was chosen as the date, so that we could experience the harshest possible conditions. The departure was from Kilpisjärvi and the goal was to ski in two days to Koutajärvi, where we would set up base camp. Starting from the base camp, the intention is to practice mountain climbing, e.g. On the slopes of Markusfjellet. However, the alarming avalanche situation forced us to reconsider the route plan. According to our interpretation, when going up to Koutajärvi, we would have passed a pass with large avalanche slopes on both sides. According to the worst analysis, our entire expedition could have been trapped in the terrain at the bottom of the pass. In hindsight, I wondered if the interpretation was too cautious, but on the other hand, it is always better to be too cautious rather than stupid. Thanks to https://www.wildadventuresnorth.fi/ for which I was able to borrow the Helsport Spitsbergen tent shown in the video! Thanks also to https://ensiaputaito.net/ who gave us private coaching before the trip, it was really useful ????
