Traditional final exhibition of Karaganda artists for the 60th anniversary of the Karaganda Union of Artists. From the first days of its existence, the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan has been the consolidating center that has directed efforts to activating the creative and exhibition activities of artists. The Karaganda Union is a mobile creative team of 57 artists and art critics. Many of them have received state awards, as well as awards from prestigious international and foreign competitions and festivals. The exhibition displays works by recognized masters and young artists, as well as authors who are not members of any creative associations and are just starting their exhibition life. In their works, the artists reveal universal human values, express their philosophical reflections on the world and life; history, life, and folk mythology are widely reflected. The authors use various angles and stylistics to embody these themes. Canvases executed in a traditional realistic manner coexist with works of a symbolic-mythological or modernist nature, in which the main means of emotional impact are color, rhythm, and form. According to the established tradition, the landscape genre is becoming widespread. It occupies a significant place in the exhibition and is vividly represented in the paintings of S. Shchegolikhin, M. Kalmakhanov, F. Islamov. Graphics, like painting, is developing in line with modern trends, opening up new ideological positions and technical possibilities. The works vary in plot and subject matter, but they are characterized by interesting content and a culture of mastering graphic materials and techniques. A prominent place in this series is occupied by the works of V. Trotsenko, H. Mustafina, E. Kazakova. Sculpture is developing along the path of expanding plot lines and figurative solutions. The world rethought by A. Kalmakhanov, V. Arent, S. Chechenov, the feelings experienced by them are expressed in the presented stylized compositions. A special place at the exhibition is given to decorative and applied arts. It is necessary to note the works of N. Bolyukh, who masterfully and soulfully uses traditional techniques. The creativity of Karaganda artists is characterized by the originality of their creations, spiritual fulfillment, life-affirming worldview, decorative and plastic expressiveness.
