MBS has learned that some prefectural assembly members of the Liberal Democratic Party, who have given up on fielding their own candidate in the Hyogo Prefectural Gubernatorial election, are proposing a policy agreement with former Amagasaki Mayor Inamura Kazumi (51), who has announced her candidacy. In the Hyogo Prefectural Gubernatorial election following the loss of office of former Governor Saito Motohiko (46), the largest faction in the prefectural assembly, the Liberal Democratic Party, decided on October 27th to give up on fielding its own candidate and allow voters to vote freely. According to sources, there is a movement among around 20 prefectural assembly members of the Liberal Democratic Party to support former Amagasaki Mayor Inamura Kazumi, who has announced her candidacy as an independent, and they will propose a policy agreement on the afternoon of the 28th. Meanwhile, Inamura's side is taking a cautious stance, saying they will not accept support from any particular political party. Other candidates who have announced their candidacy for the Hyogo Prefectural gubernatorial election include former governor Saito Motohiko, Communist Party-endorsed doctor Osawa Yoshikiyo (61), former Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry bureaucrat Nakamura Minoru (62), former Kasai City mayor Nakagawa Nobuzo (68), House of Councillors member Shimizu Takayuki (50), record company manager Fukumoto Shigeyuki (58), and political group leader Tachibana Takashi (57). ▼MBS NEWS HP https://www.mbs.jp/news/ ▼The latest news and special features are delivered daily.
