Ewelina Cześnik was born in 1946, her family came from Warsaw; her father (died 1964) fought in the Warsaw Uprising. After the war, Ewelina Cześnik's parents, older brother and extended family settled in Olsztyn, where she was friends with the Pisiuk family. In 1951, they returned to Warsaw and settled in Żoliborz. Ewelina Cześnik studied at the Stefania Sempołowska School, Joachim Lelewel High School and studied animal sciences in Olsztyn. She has a son who is a sociologist and lectures at SWPS University.
