This time we analyze the science fiction classic I, Robot, to bring you everything that is wrong with this film starring Will Smith, based on the book by Isaac Asimov. The story takes place in the year 2035, where robots exist to serve humans. Detective Del Spooner (Will Smith) is called to investigate the death of his old friend, Dr. Alfred Lanning (James Cromwell), an employee of the company US Robotics, run by Lawrence Robertson (Bruce Greenwood), which is about to launch the NS-5 model on the market. Everyone believes it was suicide, but Spooner believes that Lanning was murdered by a robot named Sonny (Alan Tuddyk), who was found in Lanning's laboratory, tried to escape when found by Spooner and appears to be capable of breaking the Three Laws of Robotics developed by Lanning himself, which dictate that robots cannot harm humans; they must obey humans, if this does not contradict the First Law; and must protect themselves, if doing so does not contradict the First and Second Laws. Spooner is forced to release Sonny due to lack of evidence, and Robertson orders robopsychologist Dr. Susan Calvin (Bridget Moynahan) to terminate Sonny. Will she do it?
