Štěpán Kozub is a renowned actor, comedian, director, singer and screenwriter, known from the improvisational group Three Tigers and as the artistic director of the Mír Theatre. He was born on March 13, 1996 in Bohumín and now lives in Ostrava. After successfully studying at the Janáček Conservatory, he appeared in a number of TV and film projects, and was awarded the Theater Critic's Award and the Thália Award. Štěpán not only writes scripts and often directs them himself, but he also released a music album together with Jiří Krhut and twice sold out Prague's O2 arena. But despite all of his success, he's had some tough times, from battling obesity in his youth to losing his father in his 20s. His inspiring story is an example of determination, talent and strength of spirit. We discussed a wide range of topics with Štěpán, from his acting, studying at the conservatory to his relationship with the media, stand-up comedy and mushrooms. We delved deeper into the boundaries of humour, his admirers, his experiences with depression and his success at the O2 arena.
