APRIL 2024 Everest Base Camp was a dream, long in the drawer. Nepal has always fascinated me and I set foot there, for the first time, more than 15 years ago. This time, in addition to the foot, I also put wheels. The goal is to reach the base camp by bicycle, with the legendary Orbea Occam. It was a wonderful journey, immersed in an iconic and spectacular environment, with a wonderful travel companion (Mr. Barce never disappoints). After a long flight we landed in Kathmandu, the next day 10 hours of Jeep took us to the start of the trail, in Phaphlu. For 8 days, between there and back, we lived the dream of walking one of the most famous trails in the world. The return trip, always by Jeep, took us back to the Nepalese capital to prepare for the return to the motherland. An unforgettable experience even if it could have gone better.
