And this describes Gunnar's approach to his collaboration with the Beatseaks quite well: There are no moving lights and spotlights are only used at the concert in the Waldbühne in the form of four Martin MAC Axioms to illuminate a mirror ball. The design is characterized by halogen light: a whopping 68 Vari*Lite VL500 are installed in the roof, with which Gunnar Loose creates lighting moods. The trusses also differ from the common front/mid/back truss principle; based on the Parkanne battles of the 80s, they hang in a U that is open at the front and a square above the band. It wasn't easy to get hold of the venerable Vari*Lite VL500 in sufficient quantities, as he reports in the video. GLP X4 Bars for three Kabukis and a theater curtain The vintage look is further supported by eleven 2kW step lenses from DeSisti. Otherwise, Gunnar Loose works as usual with several Kabukis and a red curtain as a backdrop. The Kabukis are illuminated with two rows of X4 Bars from GLP. And these are the only LED spotlights used in this production. And of course lots of blinders, which are also attached to the delay towers and bring out the breathtaking atmosphere of the Berlin Waldbühne excellently. And he is continuing to pursue this aesthetic: For the upcoming festival shows, Gunnar Loose has removed all spotlights from the rider, and besides the Kabukis, only the "red line" that snakes across the band's backs will be included in the luggage.
