In this video we visit the abandoned hotel complex Stella Canaris on Fuerteventura at Jandia Playa. The huge complex was once equipped with 1,175 residential units, 8 swimming pools, several restaurants and its own zoo, on 500,000 m² with 20,000 palm trees 🌴 you could choose between a hotel and apartments in the 3-4 star category. Due to non-payment of wages, the staff went on strike and this led to the closure in 2013! What will become of the complex today is unclear, there are investors and construction work is said to have started, but there was little to see of it except that most of the buildings have already been gutted! A jungle and numerous animal and parrot species awaited us on the site, it was a little surreal to explore this place that was once so lively after years of being left to itself and nature ..
