Among the many aircraft used by NATO countries, one of the most interesting remains the Eurofighter Typhoon, which is used on a large scale by several NATO countries. The group of Typhoon users includes primarily the air forces of Germany, Great Britain, Spain and Italy. Apart from them, there are several other countries that use Typhoon aircraft, but we will not discuss them in more detail today. Let's start with the fact that aircraft of this class are usually referred to as generation 4+ machines. Until recently, Poland was also mentioned among the potential buyers of this type of aircraft, which is still looking for a multi-role aircraft designed to replace the MiG-29 and Su-22 multi-role aircraft currently used by the Polish Air Force. At one point, the Italians proposed that Poland transfer multi-role aircraft used in their aviation, and in return Poland was to transfer MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine. However, the Poles were not interested in adopting a similar solution, which would be quite a good idea for Poland. In the meantime, however, some time has passed, and among the planes that are to be included in the Polish arsenal, the F-15 is currently mentioned. In any case, from different parts of the world, we can hear that interest in the Eurofighter Typhoon planes is gradually decreasing. This is due to several issues. Firstly, these planes are relatively expensive to operate, but they provide a lot of unique capabilities. A few years ago, during the Red Flag exercises in Alaska, it turned out, for example, that German pilots flying planes of this class managed to achieve a number of successes during mock air combats with American F-22 planes, which were then treated as the ultimate plane, the most powerful player on the scene and so on. Now, when the star of the American Raptor has faded a bit, and the best student in the class is considered the F-35, oh yes, in a moment I will start to be lectured that it is not considered, it is, one can get the impression that many countries are not interested in further purchases and modernizations of their fleet of Eurofighter planes. Meanwhile, countries in the Middle East and Asia Minor are starting to show growing interest in purchasing Eurofighters, with Turkey taking the lead, as it seeks to increase its fleet of combat aircraft.
