This video presents the adaptive immune response (RIA) in a different presentation from the first version (read online). The RIA allows, on the one hand, to produce antibodies (thanks to the plasma cells that form from the LB): this is the humoral-mediated RIA. On the other hand, the RIA allows to destroy infected cells (thanks to the Tc lymphocytes that form from the LT8): we speak of cell-mediated RIA. These two populations of lymphocytes (LB and LTc) are activated by the interleulins 2 (IL2) produced by the auxiliary LTs (LTaux) that form from the LT4. This reaction takes place in 3 to 7 days and is specific to a specific antigen.
