The Kirchner Cultural Center presents a new date in the cycle dedicated to the great albums of Latin America. On this occasion, the singers Juli Laso, La Ferni, Mel Muñiz, Soema Montenegro, Maggie Cullen, Maca Mona Mu and Ana Prada perform a series of wonderful works, immortalized by Chavela Vargas in her 1961 album, such as “La llorona”, “Un mundo raro”, “Paloma negra”, “Golondrina viajera”, “La Churrasca” and “Adiós Paloma”, among others. The singers perform alongside Ernesto Snajer on arrangements, direction and guitar, Seva Castro and Lucie Delahaye on guitar, Felipe Traine on guitarrón and Diana Arias on double bass. Originally recorded with the Lara Foster quartet, the 1961 album Chavela Vargas brought together twelve unforgettable boleros, rancheras and sones that marked an era, and which the artist later recorded again live, in the studio and in films directed by Pedro Almodóvar and other renowned filmmakers.
