Since ETA announced the definitive end of its armed activity on October 20, 2011, several hundred people who have been involved in the terrorist organization have wanted to return. They want to return to the Basque Country, but they also want to return to a normal life after years of clandestinity. Five years after the end of terrorism, some have already dared to return to Euskadi, but others remain on the other side of the border for fear of being arrested and brought before the courts. VICE News has been with several of these people. The report also includes the intervention of the chief prosecutor of the National Court, Javier Zaragoza, who assures that Spanish justice cannot stop acting against those people who have pending cases.
