Young people and agriculture: a future to build In Italy, there are approximately 100,000 agricultural companies run by entrepreneurs under 40, equal to 7.5% of the total. A growing percentage, but still insufficient to lower the average age of farmers, which today stands at 63 years. Opportunities for young people, however, are not limited to the direct management of agricultural companies. The agricultural machinery and agromechanics sector offers a wide range of possibilities, making it an increasingly attractive field. In this context, it is essential to invest in training and safety, an essential theme for the future of the sector.
