This week, on Grandir Ensemble, Alexandra had the pleasure of welcoming Stéphanie Deslauriers again. Stéphanie has been a psychoeducator for over 15 years, has been a lecturer at the Université de Montréal for 10 years and has written about twenty educational books. She is also the mother of a 4-year-old girl and stepmother of a 16-year-old boy. In this episode, Stéphanie talks to us about academic motivation. What works? What is optimal? What strategies should we adopt as a parent to motivate our children and make them want to learn and progress? Promises, rewards, threats, Stéphanie talks to us about all of this as well as the positive or negative effects of these different strategies. An episode full of valuable advice to kindly support our children in taking responsibility and committing to their academic success process, whether academic, behavioral or social!
