This chapter of our history begins with the arrival of the first democratic Argentine president to power. And it ends with the appearance of the first coup leader of the 20th century. At the beginning of 1916, the country is heading towards a historic presidential election. After years of fraud, the people go to the polls to freely express their will. The Electoral Reform promoted by Roque Sáenz Peña has its test of fire. Televisión Pública and Canal Encuentro present “Ver La Historia”: a series that addresses the 200 years of Argentine history 1806-2010. Made up of 13 chapters, the series is organized around significant socio-political events in Argentine history.
