The German Alpine Road is the perfect autumn destination for an epic road trip with the Royal Enfield Himalayan through southern Germany. Well over 20 degrees and it's the end of October, no rain, a few clouds, often sun, perfect conditions for a tour on Germany's oldest holiday route. The German Alpine Road connects Lake Constance in western Bavaria with Lake Königssee in the extreme southeastern tip of the state over 484 kilometers. A panoramic road at its finest, extremely varied in terms of driving alone, from mountain passes and long forest passages to leisurely stages through alpine meadows and along various lakes. But what makes the whole thing special are the many sights along the way, the opportunities for climbing, hiking, swimming, visiting castles, towns and museums. You could spend several weeks along the route, but you should plan at least one.
