Welcome to the eighth episode of the third and final season of FICCIÓPATAS. As every first Sunday of the month, we are joined by Chris T. Nash, from «A grito pelao», with his section QUEENS OF THE STORY. Today we dissect «Life in another place» by Guadalupe Nettel, within the anthology «Los divagantes» (Anagrama, 2023). In Episode 17 of the second season, Eric brought «El sopor», a story that is also part of this same anthology. Guadalupe Nettel is a Mexican writer, winner of the Ribera del Duero Short Narrative Award with the book of short stories «El casado de los peces rojas» (2013) and the Herralde Novel Prize with «despues del invierno» (2014). Her work has been translated into 17 languages. She has collaborated in magazines and publications such as Granta, The White Review, El País, The New York Times in Spanish, La Repubblica and La Stampa, among others. She is the director of the Revista de la Universidad de México at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Do you know the author? Have you read anything by her? Let us know in the comments. ???? *** If you want to support our podcast so that we can continue buying scalpels and gowns and sharpen those knives that await us on our dissection table, you can do so by buying our books, following us on social media and sharing our content, but also by inviting us to a coffee (or two) at https://ko-fi.com/ficciopatas You can also read our books and wear our t-shirts.
