Ep 56 - ATMABODHA - SELF-KNOWLEDGE SWAMI TAPOYAJNANANDA MONK OF THE RAMAKRISHNA ORDER Atmabodha, written by Adi Shankaracharya, is a treatise that proposes Advaita Vedanta, the philosophy of non-dualistic Vedanta. As its name suggests, the work deals with the knowledge of the Self. It contains only 68 verses with beautiful analogies. It describes the state of realization from different points of view, using various comparisons of everyday experiences. It explicitly conveys that Brahman is the only Reality and all other Tattvas (principles) in the world have only an apparent Reality. This is the central subject of this text. In this talk, we will recap verses 14 to 26.
