I sail single-handed from Tenerife to Martinique across the Atlantic and choose the northern route, as there is a pronounced calm zone in the south at the beginning. The journey is characterized by strong winds and unstable weather over long stretches. This time I don't get through without problems either; my mainsail rips in a squall and I also have a few technical problems. But after 24 days and 2950 nautical miles I happily arrive in Martinique.
