The engine was installed in various vehicles in the Mercedes-Benz SK series, particularly in the 1990s, such as the Mercedes-Benz SK 1838 or Mercedes-Benz SK 1844. The freight forwarder had kept the engine in a storage container as a spare engine for around three years and understandably could not give a guarantee on it. If you were to install this engine in a vehicle without checking it, it probably wouldn't run. After a thorough inspection and overhaul of the unit, it can be installed in a vehicle, agricultural machine or power plant without any problems and continue to do its job as if nothing had happened.
