Offshore wind in France is experiencing significant growth, but must increase its production to meet ambitious targets (18 GW in service in 2035, 40 GW in 2050). Challenges include maritime planning, investments in ports for floating wind turbines, Chinese competition, rising commodity prices and interest rates. After the great public debate, what new dynamics? How can we overcome the financial and logistical obstacles to the expansion of offshore wind in France? How will the new maritime planning and investments influence the achievement of France's energy targets? How can we draw inspiration from European successes, particularly in Great Britain? How can France and Europe maintain the competitiveness of offshore wind in the face of international competition, particularly from China? The round table will be opened by Christophe MANAS, Regional Councilor of Occitanie, President of the Mediterranean Commission Moderator: Olivier ZANETTA, Journalist, EnerGaïa Conference Manager Speakers: Olivier PEYRET, President France & Director Europe New Energies, SLB Martin SALMON, General Directorate of Energy and Climate, Head of the Offshore Wind Development Division Maëlie BENISTAND-HECTOR, Head of Offshore Wind, Hydroelectricity and EMR, SYNDICAT DES ENERGIES RENEWABLES (SER) Paul-Octave TOLLU, Head of the Offshore Wind Sector, CRE
