"Without nursing staff from abroad, our system would collapse," says Antje Kössl-Janssen. She and the team at her nursing service have to care for around 1,000 people in Freiburg every day. Kössl-Janssen is desperately looking for staff and has now recruited experienced nurses and carers in Turkey. Antje Kössl-Janssen, managing director of a Freiburg nursing service, is convinced that nursing cannot function without immigration. Together with her team, she has to care for around 1,000 people in and around Freiburg every day. Kössl-Janssen has recruited experienced staff in Turkey and is also prepared to train young people in Freiburg. But many bureaucratic hurdles make life difficult for her and the future nursing staff.
