More information on the website: www.majsterpol.pl When starting to implement the reinforcing layer, make sure that the working and drying temperature is between plus five and plus twenty-five degrees Celsius. Work should not be carried out in direct sunlight and rainfall without the use of protective mesh. We can start making the reinforcing layer after the polystyrene boards have completely bonded to the substrate, but not earlier than after forty-eight hours. Before starting the work, the polystyrene boards should be sanded. When starting the work, we must prepare the appropriate tools and materials: a low-speed mixer with a basket mixer, adhesive mortar for embedding the mesh "Styrolep Z" MajsterPol glass fiber mesh, a notched trowel 8-10 mm, a trowel, a knife and a meter. We start the work by preparing the mortar. Pour the entire contents of the bag into a container with a measured amount of water and mix thoroughly with a low-speed mixer with a basket mixer until a uniform consistency is obtained. After waiting five minutes and mixing again, the mortar is ready to use. In the first step, apply the adhesive mortar with a notched trowel to the surface of the polystyrene board. The thickness of the applied mortar should be about two millimetres. Apply the mortar at one time to the width of the reinforcing mesh. Then, immediately embed the mesh by pressing it into the adhesive using a trowel. In the next step, apply a levelling layer of adhesive up to one millimetre thick, so as to completely cover the mesh. The total thickness of the reinforcing layer should be from three to five millimetres. When embedding subsequent fragments of the mesh, remember to maintain a ten-centimetre overlap. We can start applying the plaster after the reinforcing layer has dried, but not earlier than three days after its implementation.
