Heuliez supplies Qbuzz with 35 buses of the type Heuliez GX 437 ELEC Linium that will run on several city lines in the city of Utrecht. The Heuliez buses run on lines 3 (Utrecht, Central Station - Overvecht - Zuilen), 7 (Utrecht, P+R Westraven - Zuilen) and 8 (Utrecht, Lunetten - Wilhelminapark). These electric buses can drive 120 kilometers on a battery, then the buses have to be connected to the charging station. This can be done either via a plug or via the pantograph on the roof of the bus. Recharging can be done either at the end points or at the depot. A Heuliez GX 437 ELEC Linium bus is 18.2 meters long, weighs 21,285 kilograms and can transport 107 passengers. The buses operate in the Regio Utrecht concession, which runs from 2013 to 2023. Early 2019, it was decided to purchase 55 electric buses, 20 12-meter buses of the Ebusco 2.2 LE type and 35 articulated units from Heuliez, these GX 437 ELEC Linium buses. The Ebusco buses have been operating in Utrecht since June 2020, these Heuliez buses were delayed. For example, the charging facilities were not yet ready. The Heuliez buses therefore waited for several months on an industrial estate in Alblasserdam until they could be delivered to Qbuzz. In addition to Utrecht, these buses also operate in Groningen, 49 of them for the Q-link lines 3, 4 and 5.
