Day 2: Camp. Toro – Paso del Viento Refuge Total distance: 14 km. Hiking time: 8 – 9 hours approx. Elevation: 900 meters. Long and intense day. Leaving the camp on the right bank, the ascent begins and the Túnel River is crossed using the zip line that is installed. Then the march continues towards the Túnel Inferior glacier. Once at the top, on the left bank you can see a Bivouac and the path that begins to ascend towards Paso del Viento. From this point you have a spectacular view of the Patagonian ice field. The descent is made following the path on the left until arriving at the Paso del Viento Refuge. Trip made from January 15 to 18 (2024).
