The Edith Scaravetti case or Laurent Baca case is a French criminal case concerning the murder of Laurent Baca, Edith Scaravetti's partner at the time of the events. Laurent Baca was killed on the night of August 5 to 6, 2014 by a 22 long rifle bullet in the temple, then cast in concrete. Edith Scaravetti, for four months, maintained the fact that she had no news of her partner who had left to deliver drugs to Spain. But the hypothesis of this "go fast" surprised Laurent Baca's family as well as investigators, especially since Edith Scaravetti took several days to report his disappearance and this under the insistence and numerous questioning of the in-laws. Edith Scaravetti confessed to the death of her partner after four months of investigation, on November 20, 2014. On May 17, 2019, Edith Scaravetti was sentenced by the Tarn-et-Garonne Assize Court of Appeal in Montauban to ten years in prison on appeal for the murder of her partner. At first instance, the Haute-Garonne Assize Court in Toulouse had upheld involuntary manslaughter and sentenced the woman to three years in prison. #investigations #truecrime #fela ????
