With the upgrade of the economy fleet on the Blambangan Ekspres Train series, one of the positive effects is that the Banyubiru Train, part of whose fleet utilizes the Blambangan Ekspres rest series, has also experienced an increase. Previously, the Banyubiru Train, which in its operations offered executive and economy class services, where the economy class used the Ministry of Transportation's economy fleet with a capacity of 80 with seats facing each other, has recently been modified to become the New Generation economy. This modification resulted in changes in the type of seats, passenger capacity, and visual changes to the interior. Now the economy class no longer carries the concept of sitting facing each other with upright backrests thanks to the presence of revolving and reclining features on the seats. The revolving feature allows the passenger seats to be rotated so that they can follow the direction of the train's travel while the reclining feature allows the backrests on the new generation seats to be reclined so that the degree of inclination provides better comfort. Among the 4 Banyubiru departure schedules, only 2 travel schedules have had their economy class facilities upgraded to the new generation fleet.
