It is essentially a piece of Dyneema material from Samson Rope - the name of the rope model is Amsteel Blue. This material has unique properties: resistance to ultraviolet radiation and aggressive environments extremely low stretchability strength 10 times higher than steel (2.5 mm cord can withstand 700 kg) This combination of properties makes the material ideal for making an ultra-light hammock sling.
