Episode 107 with Mrs. Dr. Ramezani, a nutritionist from America Dr. Fatemeh Ramezani, a graduate of nutrition and diet therapy, completed her master's degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. He started his work in the special care department of Shariati Hospital in Tehran on clinical nutrition (tube feeding and intravenous nutrition). In this field, he authored books and wrote scientific articles and trained students and nutrition experts. He also formulated Nutrica, the first ready-to-use tube feeding solution in Iran, in collaboration with food industry experts. Fatemeh went to Canada to continue her doctoral studies and studied the beneficial role of functional food in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases at the University of Manitoba. After that, Dr. Ramezani went to do a post-doctoral course for two years at the Department of Immunology at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA, and continued his research. His focus was on the beneficial role of probiotics, prebiotics, and synbiotics in health, especially when the population of beneficial gut microbes is out of balance. Currently, Dr. Fatemeh Ramezani has a specialized nutrition board from the American Academy of Nutrition and Diet Therapy and is working as a researcher and registered diet nutritionist in the state of California.
