About :

A tram network of just 43.7 kilometers in a metropolis of 500,000 inhabitants like Duisburg is something extraordinary. Either way, the tram in the Ruhr area has been neglected for years, with a few exceptions. This is particularly evident in Mülheim (Ruhr), where there were plans to shut down the entire network. Fortunately, this idea was abandoned, but three tram lines have been shut down in recent years anyway, including the Kahlenbergast last August. Line 901 of the Duisburg tram also starts in Mülheim. It is one of three lines (901-903), with the 902 running parallel to the 903 on a section as an event line and with on and off trips. In Mülheim and Duisburg city centers, it runs underground like a light rail. The vehicle that was used will soon be history. Car 1024, one of the 46 old Duewag GT10NC-DU. The days are numbered. The new NF4 trains are currently being delivered, even if progress is slow at the moment.
