Judit has been known to almost the whole world since she was a child; at the age of 9, she was featured in the New York Times when she won her first major international tournament. She was interesting in these tournaments not only because of her age, but also because, as a woman, she had been competing among men since childhood. She had been leading the women's rankings since the age of 12, and was ranked 8th in the absolute rankings. Kasparov, who was considered the best chess player in the world, did not take her seriously at first, and then, causing a huge scandal, “cheated” against her in a tournament, which ended in a draw, but Judit later beat him several times. Her husband, Dr. Gusztáv Font is a veterinarian and they have two children, Olivér (19 years old) and Hanna (17 years old). When the children were small, Judit was still actively competing, and there were times when baby Olivér “didn’t recognize me” after a longer competition. She tells D. Tóth about this on the way to see the cover design of her soon-to-be-published chess education book. And of course, about what she has been working on since her retirement, what can be learned through chess (according to Judit, the whole of life).
