Any carpentry workshop uses only dry boards. How to dry lumber will be discussed in this video. I decided to make sure of this based on the reviews of my friends and my own experience. As a result, ash slabs and bog oak slabs 55-65 mm thick were dried to 7% moisture in 3 weeks. Thinner boards dries much faster. 388 kW of electricity were spent, which is about 1.5 kilorubles. I think this is a very cheap drying method. The chamberless dryer is very easy to install: a stack is placed on a heat-insulated pallet, between the rows of which infrared cassettes are placed, as well as control cassettes. A layer of heat insulation is also placed on top, after which the entire stack is covered with a membrane. Moisture condenses on the membrane and flows down to the ground. Even on dried boards, very intensive moisture release occurs. Drying can be considered complete when condensation stops, but you need to fully control the moisture content of the boards with a moisture meter. I did not notice any particular disadvantages, but the advantages are cost-effectiveness, ease of installation, the ability to install anywhere. You will see the rest in the video.
