[Ingredients/quantity] Steak meat/2 slices Paella rice (Spanish rice)/3 cups Consommé soup/600ml Saffron/as needed Brown mushrooms/5 Shallots/2 Garlic/2 cloves Zucchini/1 Red pepper/1 Olive oil/as needed Butter/2 tablespoons Salt and pepper/a little of each Fried onion/as needed (thinly sliced onion fried in olive oil) [Cooking process] 1. Wash the rice, then drain in a colander and dry. Heat the consommé soup and saffron in a small pot. 2. Roughly chop the garlic and shallots, thinly slice the mushrooms, cut the zucchini into half moons, and chop the peppers into irregular pieces. 3. Season the steak meat with salt and pepper, fry on both sides in a paella pan with heated olive oil, then remove. 4. Add the garlic, shallots, rice, and butter to the paella pan from 3. and fry until the rice is hot. ⑤ Add the mushrooms to ④ and stir fry lightly. Pour in the warm soup and mix well, flatten the surface, arrange the zucchini and peppers in a colorful arrangement, reduce heat to low, cover with aluminum foil and cook for about 15 minutes, then steam for 10 minutes. ⑥ Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces, arrange on a plate and top with fried onions. [Tips] *Rice can be used as is without being washed, but in Japan it is customary to wash rice before cooking, which some people find unpleasantly smelly, so we wash it, drain it in a colander and dry it before using. It is important to dry the rice after washing it. *Keep the soup warm. The key is to pour the warm soup over the hot fried rice. #KatoriShingo #HayamiMokomichi #Cheers
