Can the intersection points of a quadratic and a linear function only be solved graphically? No! Of course you can also calculate it. We do it in two steps. First we set the two functions equal and then we set this equation equal to 0. Now you can see that you can simply use the PQ formula. Of course we only calculated the x values first. In the last step we then calculate the y values. We do this by simply inserting the x values into the linear equation.
