Dr. Gregor Gysi on Bertolt Brecht At the beginning I thought we had nothing (additional) to report about our visit to the Bundestag office of Gregor Gysi (Member of Parliament - The Left). But to err is human. I was impressed not only by his ability to read Brecht, but also by his incredibly good preparation for the topic. Well, it wasn't the first time I had Gregor Gysi in front of the camera. However, it was the first time for my own purposes. When we found out what his calendar looked like that day - not much different from the other days before - it was quite a mystery to me how he could have found the time to delve so deeply into the topic. I know that he knows Brecht quite well - but that well? We actually hardly needed to ask any questions when the camera was rolling, he just started talking and filled in our "gaps" more or less by himself. Moreover, I still can't quite imagine that he should really slow down now (2018). You really can't tell from the material, but the end of the clip is really the end of the interview. His assistant came in and they were off to the next appointment - crazy...
