Want to learn how to monitor your work without freaking out? Check out the COURSE DESIGNING YOUR DREAM: https://planarqcampos.com.br/ DECORATION MISTAKES are common, especially when we are building or renovating. In fact, LAYOUT MISTAKES in your construction or renovation are the most common problems we encounter. LAYOUT is the arrangement of furniture and items in our home, it can be a SOFA, a SIDEBOARD, where the DOUBLE BED will be, the WARDROBE, KITCHEN COUNTER, COOKTOP, REFRIGERATOR, where the BATHROOM SHOWER, DINING TABLE will be, in short, the layout is present in every room of our home, be it the FITTED KITCHEN, laundry room, bathroom, bedroom, living room, dining room, etc. An inadequate arrangement can make your home uncomfortable, devalued, seem smaller and even tiring in everyday life. ITEM 1 – KITCHEN COUNTER – Do not leave the counter aligned with the kitchen cabinet and the plinth or skirting board. In a kitchen, whether it is a fitted kitchen, kitchen with an island, open-plan kitchen, or even a simple kitchen, we can leave the counter at 60cm, the kitchen cabinet at 58cm and the plinth at 48cm; ITEM 2 – CHAIRS – We have square tables, round tables, rectangular tables, oval tables and organic tables. The ideal distance from the table to a wall or other element is 90cm, when we have a very close wall, or a piece of furniture or even a KITCHEN STOOL where we have the DINING TABLE very close to the KITCHEN COUNTER and the KITCHEN COUNTER, sometimes using a GERMAN CORNER can help; ITEM 3 – SQUARE BATHROOM – This bathroom format requires us to use a “L” shaped BATHROOM BOX, and it is always good to access the bathroom facing the shower or the sink, but depending on the size of your bathroom, circulation inside the room may not be comfortable, so if this format is used, you need to be more careful; ITEM 4 – TAPS – The height of the bathroom taps depends on the height of the sink, we must leave 15cm from the tap to the beginning of the sink, so we have the BUILT-IN SINK AND SCULPTED SINK that are at the height of the bathroom counter or sink, while the SUPPORT SINK, OVERLAY SINK, SEMI-RECORDED SINK are models that are above the counter. The kitchen faucet can have from the tip of the tap to the drain about 30cm; ITEM 5 – DOOR AND WINDOW – To use a curtain or blind, it is important that this element passes at least 20 cm on each side of a window, but if you have a door next to the window, this can be a problem, since a curtain in front of a door is not very nice, so leave at least 20 cm or more of distance between them; ITEM 6 – STOVE AND COOKTOP – Be careful not to place these appliances too close to a wall, piece of furniture or even a circulation area in a kitchen with an island, as the handle of the pan may hit the wall or furniture or be in the circulation area and someone may bump into them. Always leave about 20 cm on the side of the cooktop or stove to avoid this; ITEM 7 – SWING DOOR – Or a door that opens, be careful that it does not open in front of another swing door with little space between them, or in front of a refrigerator, making it impossible to open both doors at the same time; ITEM 8 – KITCHEN APPLIANCES – Plan well from the beginning with which appliances you intend to use in your kitchen, such as a blender, dishwasher, air fryer, filter, microwave, etc. Leaving gas, water and socket points for possible expansions is much better than breaking something after it is finished; ITEM 9 – CORNERS – Be careful with corners in the decoration, whether it is the dining table with the sofa, a wardrobe with the bed, a vase with the shower, etc. It is good to have 80cm of circulation in general and in the bathroom at least 60cm; ITEM 10 – ACCESS TO THE KITCHEN – Avoid placing very large elements right at the entrance to the kitchen, such as a refrigerator or HOT TOWER, this makes the room seem smaller, darker and less comfortable.
