In our search for the most exquisite flavors of Guerrero, we arrived at the most hidden restaurant in Acapulco. Access is on foot, along a small path that takes us to one of the most lonely and beautiful beaches in the port. There we met Doña Celsa, a brave woman who, despite the natural disasters that have hit Acapulco, keeps hope and effort alive to get her small restaurant, “Fondo del Mar,” moving forward. We tried her specialty, Caldo Resucitador, a delicious mix of seafood with red chili; lengüetas de perro, also known as “cockroaches of the sea”; and, of course, a huge pescado a la Talla. Everything was exquisite, and I am sure that this will not be the last time I visit this place.
