How to obtain/measure savings in Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service using Karpenter and multiarch architectures Elevator Pitch Let's take advantage of the release of Karpenter 1.0 (GA) and embark on this adventure of super fast savings and elasticity. Description In this talk, I will demonstrate the use of Karpenter 1.0 as a default autoscaler in an AWS EKS cluster, showing a simple, automated and intelligent way to bring savings and a lot of agility in the elasticity of an EKS cluster, and finally how to practically measure whether we are really achieving savings or not. I will also talk a little about the advantages of having multiarch images (amd64 and arm64) available and how this brings savings almost effortlessly.
