He received his Master's degree in Development Studies from the Graduate School of Geneva; Internship in International Education Policy at Harvard University; PhD in Education from the National Institute of Education, Singapore; and PhD in Education from the University of London (UCL). For his contributions to education, the World Economic Forum (Davos, Switzerland) honored him as a Global Leader in the role of an Education Activist.
